Para Legal Volunteer Recruitment in Nadia District
Applications are invited from the local residents of Nadia district in stardard form along with two numbers of passport size photographs and one self addressed envelope affixing postage stamp of Rs.5/-, for selection.
Eligibility:
1. He / She must be a citizen of India.
2. The minimum age for the selection of Para Legal Volunteer should not be less than 18 years as on the date of advertisement (i.e; 1stApril, 2019)
3. The Candidate shall be literate, preferably Madhyamik or its equivalent from any recognised Board / Institute.
Total Vacancy:
10 (Ten) Para Legal Volunteers for the district of Nadia.
Honorarium:
Rs. 500/- per day for duty assigned for rendering services.
Note:
The work of Para Legal Volunteers does not carry any salary, Remuneration or Wages except the aforementioned Honorarium.
Volunteers can be selected:
1.Teacher (including retired teachers)
2.Retired Government servants and senior citizens.
3.M.S.W. Students and teachers.
4.Anganwadi Workers.
5.Doctors / Physicians.
6.Students & Law Students (till they enroll as lawyers) Member of non-political, service oriented NGOs and Clubs.
7.Member of women Neighborhood Groups and other Self Help groups including of marginalized / vulnerable groups.
8.Educated prisoners with good behaviour, serving long term sentences in prisons.
9.Any other person having no political affiliation and having the mindset to serve the society.
10.Any other person whom the District Legal Services Authority Committee deems fit to be identified as PLVs.
Date and Place for submission of application:
The filled up application along with self-attested copies of certificates in respect of age, qualification and proof of residence along with work experience, if any, should reach the office of the District Legal Services Authority, Nadia in between 02.04.2019 at 10:00AM and 5.00 P.M of 18/04/2019 addressed to “The Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Nadia”.

Method of Selection:
1.Incomplete application will be rejected without assigning any reasons. No application will be entertained after last date fixed.
2.The selection of Para Legal Volunteers shall be made by Selection/ Recruitment Committee of DLSA, Nadia and the candidates shall be selected through an interview / personality test. If it appears to the Authority that the number of applications is huge then a preliminary screening of the applications may be done to short list the number of candidates. The basis of screening elimination will be decided by the Selection Committee after getting the applications.
3.Date of interview will be notified later in the official notice board of the District Nadia and District Legal Services Authority, Nadia as well as uploaded in the official website i.e https://districts.ecourts.gov.in/nadia and http://dlsanadia.org/.
4.In case of any objection regarding enlistment of Para Legal Volunteers the decision of the Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Nadia shall be final and binding on concerned.
5.Canvassing directly or indirectly will disqualify the candidate.
